Our network of sites have been undergoing construction.. lots of code has been removed to make sites loads faster for people on slow internet speeds, this has been the case with all Coggin Enterprises websites and sites designed by CotgraveDesign (Our website design).

This would have caused a login box temporarily to appear this morning (Wednesday 20th of August 2008)… fir a short period.. there is more changes and design improvements to be made over the next two days however this will not require the login box to appear and should go un noticed until the work is completed.

The Story So Far…

Just a couple of months ago planning permission was sought for the building of 450 new homes on a wedge of land near Hollygate Lane.  Despite the fact that this is protected Green Belt land your local council voted to recommend the proposal to Rushcliffe Borough council. Very quickly a public meeting was held and the overwhelming opinion of those present was of outrage and that the application should be rejected outright. Even one of the councilors who had voted in favor was immediately moved by the depth of feeling to bravely rescind her support to better represent local people! Shortly after that over 600 of you signed and returned a petition against this destruction of our country side.

AVG AntiVirus was giving a False Positive after todays updates on certain websites with counters, as most of our sites and network have counters this was showing as a Fake Positive.

You are not infected with any virus, clearing the Cache will fix this bug.

As soon as we were aware of this today we had a fix in 10 minutes and within 30 minutes it had been implimented on all our sites and sites designed by us however as your system will have a cached version of the web page it will need clearing so the new one will take over. As it will take Girsoft (AVG) some time to find this bug and what code makes this error we have removed all counters from our sites to prevent this False Positive from popping up. As always we recommened AVG so stick with the AVG as they will sort this out.

If you have seen this error simply remove your browser cache to remove any elements of your web history so a fresh page will be downloaded the next time you view a page that was giving this error, you will now not have this error any more.

If you have our toolbar simply click - Privacy & Protection .. Then click Clear Cache (Junk Browser Files) and this will do it all for you.

When viewing a web page all the files needed to show that page are downloaded to your pc. These files are stored in a Cache folder, when you go back to a web page you have already visited your browser loads the page from your hard drive not the internet, this way the page loads faster… unless the site tells your browser there is new info and to update the page you will view the same page on your browser and not the internet. This means even if a site has the bug fixed you will still see this Error/Fake Positive. Only by clearing the Cache will all the temporary files be deleted so when you visit a web page a new version will be downloaded that doesnt have the error and you will not see AVG popup anymore… Only with sites you visit that do not fix this bug themselves will you keep seeing this error. All our network of sites and sites we have designed have been fixed from this error. Clearing the Cache will allow you to view any site related to our network or designed by us to work error free again.
